Welcome to a new blog from D. Glass Associates, Inc., a consulting company specializing in several fields of biotechnology. I’m David Glass, the principal of D. Glass Associates. I’ve been in the biotech industry for nearly thirty years, and I have experience in the biomedical, agricultural, industrial and environmental sectors of biotechnology. My recent interests focus on the use of advanced biotechnology in the production of renewable fuels such as ethanol, biodiesel and other biofuels. Beginning in January 2010, I’ll be using this blog to discuss new developments relating to the companies and research groups that are using advanced techniques such as genetic engineering, metabolic engineering, synthetic biology and others to develop new, cost-effective pathways for the biological production of renewable transportation fuels.
